Why the name?
When I started thinking about the approach I wanted to take for this business, I did the typical brainstorming sessions and thought hard about core values. The brainstorming led to the understanding that the biggest core value we have to offer is simplicity. There are many ways to get on the web, some easy, some not so easy. I wanted to not only make it easy, but also make it fun. For me and for my customers.Â
What does it mean?
Hakuna Matata is Swahili. It means “No Problems.” It can also take the meaning of “No Troubles.”
If you have kids under the age of 16, you probably knew that, because you have seen the “Lion King”, the Disney movie, several dozen times!
Hence our slogan: “The web, no problems.”
Are you in any way related to Disney or the “Lion King” Franchise?
No.
Isn’t Disney going to sue you?
I hope not!
I’ve done some extensive searching. “Hakuna Matata” is not copyrighted, service-marked or trademarked. I’m not a lawyer, but I have a hard time believing that a simple phrase like that can be….
